after a year (less than a year indeed) of hard work... it finally comes to the event...

expo real asia... dec 4-6, 2006... macau tower...

resignation...

i have submitted my resignation letter... but my manager hasn't talked to me on this yet... dunno why... em... wait for another day...

she finally talked to me on my resignation... just before i left office today... but she couldn't change the fact... anyway...

decision has made...

before my trip to munich... i met my ex-colleague ellen @ the christian book fair... she told me about a vacancy in FEBC which suits me - the christian organisation she is now serving... she asked if i would consider...

yup... upon my mum turned to Christ in aug... i have a strong feeling that i would leave this company very soon... as my Lord has answered my prayer and i need to respond - just a matter of when and where... it seems like the call for an action...

so i submitted my application... and finished my first round interview with the department head in early nov... i have my second interview with the executive director today... we have nice chat regarding my past working experience, spiritual / church life, future aspiration... and finally we pray and the offer is granted...

my new title will be the promotion officer (haha... no more apm!) in the Ministry Department of the General Office... a bit complicated but never mind it's just a name... my main responsibilities will be take care of the church relations & China projects...

i will submit my resignation letter next Monday... i know my present manager will give her speech... blah blah blah...

3.5 days in munich...

just back from a very short trip to munich... for the world's largest electronic parts & components show - electronica... we have a total of 130 exhibitors from hong kong... the group is co-organised by both mmi & hktdc...

we (my colleague & i + stand contractor) flew out on the 10th evening... arrived munich the next day morning... we got to the hotel which is next to our fairground by around 11am... soon after that we started working and checked over all the booths...

the fair opened to the public on the 14th till the 17th... but i needed to return right after the hong kong seminar on the 1st day... to rush back working on the real estate expo in macau in early dec...

i could only be in munich for 3 days and a half... no time for shopping & sightseeing... //sigh...

p.s. very likely that it would be my last time in munich if... pray...

12 days in a row...

another 12 days in a row... it was the electronicAsia (eA) show last weekend... and we were all deployed to work onsite... indeed i prefer working on the fairground, rather than any paperwork or making calls... //well...

work becomes soooooo tiring and exhaustive... esp when u have such a ridiculous and bad-tempered supervisor in the office... so thirst for a break... //sigh...

cheer up... cheer up... cheer up...!!! ^_^

macau, macau again...

i was in macau during the last 5 days... for the macau investment fair (a.k.a. mif) organised by ipim - the gov trade promotion dept...

it's so exhausting & tiring to work over the weekend... and also quite boring indeed - as most of the visitors are not really our target audience... the show is more like a "face-giving" party... //well...

but glad to meet with carman, harry & their little larraine... watching firework @ macau tower... having buffet @ sands... thx 4 the tam's...

p.s. my trip to munich in oct has to be cancelled... yeah~

acm retreat...

back from the 2-day acm retreat camp... here are some highlights...

* nice and in-depth sharing among groupmates...
* very informative and impressive teaching by mr lau...
* 2-hour quite time with God - so treasure the time...
* "marathon chat" till FOUR in the morning... woh~

for dawson...

i'm so shocked when knowing this campus shooting happened in montreal... in dawson college - close to amc forum @ atwater... a guy wearing in black... calling himself "angel of death"... went into the cafeteria and fired randomly... u can imagine how chaotic and panic it was...

hopefully all my friends should be okay... and still... i miss montreal so much...

//pray for the victims... for their families... and for the entire community...

i was up by around 9.30 in morning and left for school at 10... i didn't realize what's going on until that i saw ppl gathering around the tv set in SU office... they were watching the news - so focus on the screen...

i couldn't really believe that... even the video was repeat and repeat... and all the channels were reporting on the same incident agagin and again... i was just so shocked...

and... i was actually there in july... my friends and i were in the basement of the twins towers... taking photos and having fun... oh, but now... we would never seeing the twins again...

even i was in montreal - an hour of flight from NYC... i could feel that ppl were all in fear and in sadness...

my n-th time in macau...

today i make my n-th trip to macau in this year...

my company is now working with the macau government (ipim) on a project - real estate conference & exhibition in dec 2006... so we need to travel a lot to macau for the preparation work and sales call - meetings with ipim, venue operator, hotels, associations, developers and other service providers...

again, i have my whole day in macau today... it's already my 3rd time in the last 3 weeks... but expect to come again next week, may be the week after next as well... and a-must in late sept (sept 23-26) for mif... better to get a macau ID... //haha...

conqueror...

the 3-nite ACM "conqueror" concert has come to an end... full of blessings, full of tears... coz everyone is being touched by GOD - HE is working among His people...

i'm so unprepared this year - coz of family matters & work duties... but GOD turns the weak to be strong... thank you GOD...

back from PRD biz trip...

i have been out of town for the whole week (aug 21-25)... and travelling around the PRD region with my German colleague and my manager... here is a brief summary of our trip:-

aug 21 - hong kong > macau > zhuhai
aug 22 - zhuhai > zhongshan > jiangmen
aug 23 - jiangmen > guangzhou
aug 24 - guangzhou > shenzhen
aug 25 - shenzhen > hong kong

we have visited 6 cities/areas in only 5 days... meetings with government officials, trade association executives, and developers in day time... and transferring to our next stop during late afternoon or evening...

it is quite tiring but also full of fun... i think - i do love travelling... =p

a great day...

today, aug 6, is such a great day for me but esp for my mum... she has done a very important decision today - to accept Jesus as her GOD...

i'm so (to the power n) excited and happy~~~ YEAH~~~ thx GOD... thx 4 ur prayers...

officially turns 28 today... and the BLACK rainstorm warning is ON... first time of this year, right on my birthday... any meaning for that??? hehe...

i'm so extremely tired after the trip... so wanted to take leave today... but tons of work left behind... //sigh... in a 100% "body without soul" mode... or just a dead-man walking... haha... //touchwood...

kunming...

kunming is such a nice place... i like it very much... //yeah~~~

this is my second time being in kunming... i love its weather, air quality, beautiful scenery, and many different minorities... but still many other aspects yet to improve, e.g. hygiene...

btw how come wal-mart is here in kunming... but not in hongkong... well...

currently out of town...

i have less than half of my time staying in Hong Kong for these two weeks... i was in Macau from last mon (29 may) till wed (31 may)... and now i'm in kunming, staying here for 5 days (4 to 8 june)... //sigh...
