crazy july...

july is such a nightmare for me... my colleague left the company in late june... but all the PR activities happened in the first two week of july... sigh...

wishing, and praying, that the replacement will come asap...

5th anniversary...

last nite i flipped again the pics i took in montreal... suddenly realise that it has already been 5 years... woh... where will i be in 5 years' time? i dunno... but HE knows...

second session with doris...

this evening we have our second session of pre-marriage counselling... the result of our PREPARE/ENRICH testing is as my expectation... we have quite different expectations in some aspects of our marriage life...

expectations, communication & conflict resolution are the 3 aspects needed to improve more... but we did score high in our spiritual briefs (full mark... hallelujah!) & role relationship...

our counsellor doris also did a brief analysis of our TJTA test - which we did during a church training... she remarked that our differences in value might result from our brougt-up in family-of-origin...

i think this analysis have helped us a lot in understanding each other... and how our mode of communication can be... good... our next session in be in mid july...

my first recording...

today i do my first recording @ company's studio... even thought it's only one line of script: "我是班裡的尖子生" (in mandarin!!!)... it gonna be part of a promo for an upcoming program about self-image...

how does it sound... i dunno but the producer seems like very satisfactory... wakaka...

it comes to my last year of twenty-something... ooops...

updates on wedding...

we have started our pre-merriage counselling with doris (praying hearts)... we had our first session on last thu evening... in this session we did a long long questionnaire of around 150+ questions... *_* results will be released in 3 weeks...

after the consultation... we went to an esd gathering - 3V studio forum - a total of 25+ jm and yoyo was there also... yoyo was on her holiday shopping around in hk... but she still had to work and made bookings... she did receive quite some orders that evening ($$$)... the place was just a bit too crowded but we had a fun time...

over the weekend... we went to see the carpet design for palace restaurant... it is so nice and elegant... purple in color with floral pattern... thx keung-gor (mr chan)... they are so willing to hear our comments... love them very much...

finally booked WA for pre-wedding picture... we just use the coupon... and +500 for sunday shooting... we will only pick 12 pic and go!!! hope so...

p.s. pixel cafe... ur service was so bad... and ur staff were so impolite... =<

意想不到 the finale...

just learnt from ta's blog... it was the last 意想不到 event for acm canada (the exact date should be may 19)... just remember how it started in 2005... the program keeps running over the past 3 years (05, 06 & 07 tours)... a total of 29 gatherings were organised... thx God that i was part of this wonderful experience...

hot weather warning...

it is super hot today... i'm all wet just after a few mins walk outdoor... it is so terrible...

only in late may... the first hot weather warning is on... overall temperature is over 30... some areas have a recrod of 33 or above... really crzay... how will the rest of this summer be... em...

palace restaurant...

we gather again today... but just a few of us... ^^ & her bf... kimmy & b sir... plus me... haha... it is not a joke but true that mr chan has called us to choose the right carpet design with him...

accroding to mr chan... deco for the new shop will be quite different from CWB... the main color (wall & ceiling) is in amber & golden color... so we choose a plain color carpet to match with the new design... finally we pick the one purple in color with some pattern in amber... a more "young looking" restaurant than ever...

we also talk about other issues... like the av system... ceiling & chandelier... entrance design... lift lobby... staff uniform... bridge room... haha... it just like we are part of the restaurant...

p.s. u may note that i have added back some posts since last oct... and a new appearance for my blog... to reflect another stage of life has begun...

rescheduled...

due to the rainstorm... our photo-taking will be rescheduled to oct 19... to skip the hot summer season... a bit disappointed as we have longed for... //sigh...

england fans club...

the palace restaurant group gathered again tonite... as for the establishment of england fans club... just kidding... hehe... it is the big boss of the restaurant, mr chan or bro keung, so kind that treats us a dinner... kind of promotion or dish tasting for the esd members... we have a total of 3 tables with around 40 people...

he aslo shows us the new design for the prince edward shop... but we think it is a bit old fashion... esp the carpet... so bro keung says he will call the designer and give us some other choices... he also seeks our advice on other deco parts... like table size, color of ceiling... it is sooo funny... haha...

a 15 year count...

2007 is such a wonderful year... let me make the count...

my cousins wedding...

today is my cousins' wedding... congrats to eva & john... may the Lord bless you and keep your family...

first esd gathering...

we have our first esd gathering for palace restaurant board... all of us - a total of 14 people - gather @ the CWB shop... it is really interesting to meet with these couples... we share the experience and information on all the preparation matters... like wedding photo, mua, invitation card, so and so... mr hui (england hui) - the shop manager - is a funny guy... we love him very much...

we have booked the pre-wedding photo with 3V studio in sz... they are very professional and always have new ideas... we joined the 55xx package... and gonna take on may 19... we do have high expectation from them...

studio open day 3.24th...

this is the first studio open day for this year... we have over 160 bro/sis from different churches visit our office & studio... they can go into the studio and try the recording... we also present them a short video clip of a bro from shanxi...

the most wondrous moment is that i met two old friends in the morning session... one is from cu chorus (she is from psy dept)... and the other is from another christian org (he is now studying theology)... both of them are now serving at the same church... same fellowship... what a coincident...

wedding expo...

we have been collecting information regarding the banquet... as told by other couples @ the online forum... it's better to book the restaurant at least 1.5 years before ur big day... some famous one may take u 2 years or so... can u believe?

so we went to wedding expo today... the biggest one in the year... most of the famous restaurants/hotels were there... we first got the cake vouchers for sw brother... after that we start our search on banquet...

it is not rumour but very true that many restaurants/hotels has got bookings for late 08 already... our favourite one @ one peking road is fully booked in 08... all sat / sun are gone... they have got bookings in early 09 already... but their attitude is very rude, not nice... so we gave up on them...

club regency @ kln bay is not bad... they have a very nice decoration... high ceiling... hotel-like service... we just worry about the location... guests have to take shuttles from the mtr station... about 5 mins drive...

the other choice is the palace restaurant @ prince edward... to be opened in sept... they have one shop in CWB now... this gonna be the second branch... ppl are very nice and very willing to help... maybe they are so new and have to establish a good image... i just heard of this restaurant from the online forum but never been to there... sw visited the QB one (different name but the same group) before and she gave a good comment...

both our parents have no favour and we can decide the date and venue... so we booked the palace restaurant... and our big day is on nov 15, 2008... finally we have a date for our wedding!

many things happened in the past half an year... i shall back date all those incidents one by one... it won't take too long (i hope)... so i'm back... still alive... keep in "blog"... haha...
